Pastor Carlos Ramírez was born in Monterrey, Mexico. He was raised in a Christian home and in the church as his father was a pastor in the Church of the Nazarene. However, it wasn’t until he was eighteen years old when he realized God’s forgiveness and grace in his life and had a personal encounter with Jesus Christ. It was then that he became a committed and faithful follower of Jesus Christ.
After three years of this experience, God called him to ministry as a pastor, which led him to enroll in the Seminario Metodista Juan Wesley. During this time of theological formation and pastoral ministry, he married his now-wife, Monica. In the year of 2015 they moved to Dallas, Texas for him to serve as a part of the pastoral staff in Casa Linda United Methodist Church. After serving in Casa Linda UMC for three years, on late 2017 he planted Casa Linda at Pleasant Mound UMC—a satellite ministry of Casa Linda UMC. As part of his leadership responsibilities, he also lead the praise band for both campuses.
Pastor Carlos’ leadership style is pastoral care in nature and is always excited for new and visionary opportunities to serve the church and community. His primary goal is to serve faithfully and help make ministry an enjoyable experience alongside those with whom he serves. His prayer is to allow God to guide him and use him as an instrument to make disciples of Jesus Christ.
